About the shop

An Independent Florist Shop in Stockbridge, Edinburgh

We opened on St Stephen Street in 2014 with one cold room, a second-hand bench and a standing order with two Scottish growers.

Not much of that has changed. The shop is still small, still run by the same handful of florists, and still built around what is genuinely in season rather than what can be flown in to look identical all year round.

Between us the team specialises in wedding and event work, sympathy tributes, and the everyday bunches that make up most of a good week. Two of our florists trained in Edinburgh, one came to it late after fifteen years in kitchens, and all of us buy at market rather than from a catalogue.

Why bother, when the supermarket sells roses?

Because a supermarket bunch was cut a fortnight ago, in a country you will never be told about, and graded for how well it survives a lorry. Ours were cut days ago, conditioned properly in the shop, and put together by someone who will still be here when you come back to say how long they lasted.

You also get to say what you actually want. Nobody's mother likes carnations dyed blue. Tell us the person, the occasion or the room, and we will build to that.
